Wide range of projects
Preparing a project, writing it up as a dissertation and a viva are, without doubt, the high point of the training offered by UMVM. In fact, in addition to the very high-level of medical training, students also benefit from being taught different management aspects, based on leadership and implementing projects. It has to be said that this is generally absent from scientific programmes at universities. Public involvement in the project also enables it to face constructive criticism from experts as well as potential investors, present for the occasion in Monaco. At the end of the presentations, a panel chooses the best project, possibly with a financial reward. All students officially receive their degree from the authorities. Once their have obtained their degrees, they are invited to continue their programme to update their knowledge at an international colloquium organised in the Principality. Here, they are given the chance of sponsoring a future student, so that s/he may have the opportunity of applying.
