Multidisciplinary
The creation or development of a referral centre, a laboratory or a specialist unit often consists of the combined mastery of several disciplines. Nowadays, the multidisciplinary approach is always preferred, which requires the person responsible to have a partial but nonetheless pertinent mastery of knowledge of other disciplines. It is for this reason that UMVM insists on the importance of cross-sectional knowledge. It is this that opens up new clinical research routes as well as extending the networking of peers for the students. Therefore, it is not surprising to see the involvement of people with an expertise that seems to have nothing to do with the pathology considered.
One of the objectives sought by students is to extend their field of knowledge as well as their professional network. The PLE also includes a completely customised part where students can create their own network of knowledge within the platform.
The tools mentioned below are available within personal PLEs as a box for personal exchanges, access to a Chat room [W:Chatroom] or a space for sharing data. This is made up of basic tools for [W:Peer to peer] exchanges. These personal resources will enable students to put a large number of favourites on their space, [W:RSS feeds]and even a [W:Wiki]base.
